1 تب سلیمان نے کہا خُداوند نے فرمایا ہے کہ وہ گہری تاریکی میں رہے گا ۔

2 لیکن میں نے ایک گھر تیرے رہنے کے لیئے بلکہ کہ تیری دائمی سکونت کے واسطے ایک جگہ بنائی ہے۔

3 اور بادشاہ نے اپنا منہ پھیرا اور اسرائیل کی ساری جماعت کو برکت دی اور اسرائیل کی ساری جماع کھڑے رہی۔

4 سو اُس نے کہا خُداوند اسرائیل کا خُدا مُبارک ہو جس نے اپنے منہ سے میرے باپ داؤد سے کلام کیا اور اُسے اپنے ہاتھوں سے یہ کہکر پُورا کیا ۔

5 کہ جس دن سے میں اپنی قوم کو مُلکِ مصر سے نکال لایا تب سے میں نے اسرائیل کے سب قبیلوں میں سے نہ تو کسی شہر کو چُنا تاکہ اُس میں گھر بنایا جائے اور وہاں میرا نام ہو اور نہ کسی مرد کو چُنا تاکہ وہ میری قوم اسرائیل کا پیشوا ہو۔

6 پر میں یروشلیم کو چُنا کہ وہاں میرا نام ہو اور داؤد کو چُنا کہ وہ میری قوم سرائیل پر حاکم ہو۔

7 اور میرے باپ داؤد کے دل میں تھا کہ خُداوند اسرائیل کے خُدا کے نام کے لیئے ایک گھر بنائے۔

8 پر خُداوند نے میرے باپ داؤد سے کہا چونکہ میرے نام کے لیئے گھر بنانے کا خیال تیرے دل تھا سو تُو نے اچھا کیا کہ اپنے دل میں ایسا ٹھانا۔

9 تُو بھی تُو اس گھر کو نہ بنانا بلکہ تیرا بیٹا جو تیرے صُلب سے نکلیگا وہی میرے نام کے لیئے گھر بنائے گا۔

10 اور خُداوند نے اپنی وہ بات جو اُس نے کہی تھی پُوری کی کیونکہ میں اپنے باپ داؤد کی جگہ اُٹھا ہوں اور جیسا خُدا نے وعدہ کیا تھا میں اسرائیل کے تخت پر بیٹھا ہوں اور میں نے خُداوند اسرائیل کے خُدا کے نام کے لیئے اس گھر کو بنایا ۔

11 اور وہیں میں نے وہ صندوق رکھا ہے جس میں خُداوند کا وہ عہد جو اُس نے بنی اسرائیل سے کیا۔

12 اور سلیمان نے اسرائیل کی ساری جمعت کے رُوبرُو خُداوند کے مذبح کے آگے کھڑے ہو کر اپنے ہاتھ پھیلائے۔

13 کیونکہ سلیمان نے پانچ ہاتھ لمبا اور پانچ ہاتھ چوڑا اور تین ہاتھ اُونچا پیتل کا ایک ممبر ا کر صحن کے بیچ میں اُسے رکھا تھا۔ اُسی پر وہ کھڑا تھا۔سو اُس نے اسرائیل کی ساری جماعت کے رُوبرُو گُھٹنے ٹیکے اور آسمان کی طرف اپنے ہاتھ پھیلائے ۔

14 اور کہنے لگا اے خُداوند اسرائیل کے خُدا تیری مانند نہ تو آسمان میں نہ زمین پر کوئی خُدا ہے۔تُو اپنے اُن بندوں کے لیئے جو تیرے حضوراپنے سارے دل سے چلتے ہیں عہد اور رحت کی نگاہ رکھتا ہے۔

15 تُو نے اپنے بندہ میرے باپ داؤد کے حق میں وہ بات قائم رکھی جس کا تُو نے اُن سے وعدہ کیا تھا ۔تُو نے اپنے منہ سے فرمایا اور اُسے اپنے ہاتھ سے پُورا کیا جیسا آج کے دن ہے۔

16 اب اَے خُداوند اسرائیل کے خُدا اپنے بندہ میرے باپ داؤد کے ساتھ اُس قول کو بھی پُورا کر جو تُو نے اُس سے کیا تھا کہ تیر ہاں میرے حضور اسرائیل کے تخت پر بیٹھنے کے لیئے آدمی کی کمی نہ ہو گی بشرطیکہ تیری اولاد جیسے تُو میرے حضور چلتا رہا ویسے ہی میری شریعت پر عمل کرنے کے لیئے اپنی راہ کی اھتیاط رکھے۔

17 اور اب اَے خُداوند اسرائیل کے خُدا جو قول تُو نے اپنے بندہ داؤد سے کیا تھا وہ سچا ثابت کیا جائے۔

18 لیکن کیا خُدا فی الحقیقت آدمیوں کے ساتھ زمین پر سکونت کریگا؟دیکھ آسمان بلکہ آسمانوں ک آسمان میں تُو سما نہیں سکتا تو یہ گھر تو کُچھ بھی نہیں جسے میں نے بنایا۔

19 تَو بھی اَے خُداوند میرے خُدا اپنے کی دُعا اور مُناجات کا لِحاظ کر کے اُس دُعا اور فریاد کو سُن لے جو تیرا بندہ تیرے حضور کرتا ہے۔

20 تاکہ تیری اآنکھیں اس گھر کی طرف یعنی اُسی جگہ کی طرف جس کی بابت تُو نے فرمایا کہ میں اپنا نام وہاں رکھونگا دِن اور راتُ ھلی رہیں تاکہ تُو اُس دُعا کو سُنے جو تیرا بندہ اِس مقام کی طرف رُخ کر کے تُجھ سے کریگا۔

21 اور تُو اپنے بندہ اور اپنی قوم اسرائیل کی مُناجات کو جب وہ اس جگہ کی طرف رُخ کر کے کریں تو سُن لینا بلکہ تُو آسمان پر سے جو تیری سکونت گاہ سُن لینا اور سُن کر معاف کر دینا ۔

22 اگر کوئی شخص اپنے پڑوسی کا گناہ کرے اور اُسے قسم کھلانے کے لیئے آسکو حلف دیا جائے اور وہ آکر اس گھر میں تیرے مذبح کے آگے قسم کھاے۔

23 تو تُو آسمان پر سے سُن کر عمل کرنا اور اپنے بندوں کا انصاف کر کے بدکار کو سزا دینا تاکہ اُس کے اعمال کو اُسی کے سر ڈالے اور صادق کو راست ٹھہرانا تاکہ اُس کی صداقت کے مُطابق اُسے جزا دے ۔

24 اور اگر تیری قوم اسرائیل تیرا گناہ کرنے کے باعث اپنے دشمنوں سے شکست کھائے اور پھر تیری طرف رجوع لائے اور تیرے نام کا اقرار کر کے اس گھر میں دُعا مُناجات کرے ۔

25 تو تُو آسمان پر سے سُن کر اپنی قوم اسرائیل کے گناہ کو بخش دینا اور اُن کو اس مُلک میں جو تُو نے اُن کو اور اُن کے باپ دادا کو دیا پھر لے آنا۔

26 اور جب اس سبب سے کہ انہوں نے تیرا گناہ کیا ہو آسمان بند ہو جائے اور بارش نہ ہو اور وہ اِس مقام کی طرف رُخ کرکے دُعاکریں اور تیرے نام کا اقرار کریں اور اپنے گناہ سے باز آئیں جب تُو ان کو دُکھ دے۔

27 تو تُو آسمان پر سے سُنکر اپنے بندوں اور اپنی قوم اسرائیل کا گناہ معاف کر دینا کیونکہ تُونے اُنکو اُس اچھی راہ کی تعلیم دی جس پر اُنکو چلنا فرض ہے اور اپنے مُلک پر جسے تُو نے اپنی قوم کو میراث کے لیئے دیا ہے مینہ برسانا۔

28 اگر مُلک میں کال ہو ۔اگر وبا ہو۔ اگر بادِ سمُوم یا گیروئی ۔ٹڈی یا کملا ہو۔ اگر اُن کے دشمن اُن کے شہروں کے مُلک میں اُنکو گھیر لیں۔ غرض کیسی ہی بلا یا کیسا ہی روگ ہو۔

29 تو جو دُعا یا مُناجات کسی ایک شخص یا تیری ساری قوم اسرائیل کی طرف سے ہو جن میں سے ہر شخص اپنے دُکھ اور رنج کو جان کر اپنے ہاتھ اس گھر کی طرف پھیلائے ۔

30 تو تُو آسمان پر سے جو تیر سکونت گاہ ہے سُن کر معاف کر دینا اور ہر شخص کے دل کو جسکے کو تُوجانتا ہیاُس کی سب روش کے مُطابق بدلہ دینا ( کیونکہ فقط تُو ہی بنی آدم کے دلوں کو جانتا ہے(۔

31 تاکہ جب تک وہ اس مُلک میں جسے تُو نے ہمارے باپ دادا کو دیا جیتے رہیں تیرا خوف مان کر تیری راہوں پر چلیں۔

32 اور وہ پردیسی بھی جو جو تیری قوم اسرائیل میں سے نہیں ہے جب وہ تیرے بزرگ نام اور قوی ہاتھ اور بُلند بازو کے سبب سے دور مُلک سے آئے اور آکر اس گھر کی فرط رُخ کر کے دُعا کرے۔

33 تو تُو آسمان پر سے جو تیری سکونت گاہ ہے سُن لینا اور جس جس بات کے لیئے وہ پردیسی تُوجھ سے فریاد کرے اُس کے مُطابق کرنا تاکہ زمین کی سب قومیں تُجھ کو پہچانیں اور تیری قوم اسرائیل کی طرح تیرا خوف مانیں اور جان لیں کہ یہ گھر جسے میں نے بنایا ہے تیرے نام کا کہلاتا ہے۔

34 اگر تیرے لوگ خواہ کسی راستے سے تُو اُنکو بھیجے اپنے دُشمن سے لڑنے کو نکلیں اور اس شہر کی طرف جسے تُو نے چُنا ہے اور اس گھر کی فرط جسے میں نے تیرے نام کے لیئے بنایا ہے رُخ کر کے تُجھ سے دُعا کریں ۔

35 تو تُو آسمان پر سے اُن کی دُعا اور مُناجات کو سُن کر اُن کی حمایت کرنا ۔

36 اگر وہ تیرا گناہ کریں (کیونکہ کوئی انسان نہیں جو گناہ نہ کرتا ہو( اور تُو اُن سے ناراض ہو کر اُن کو دشمن کے حوالہ کردے ایسا کہ وہ دشمن اُنکو اسیر کر کے دور یا نزدیک مُلک میں لے جائے۔

37 تو بھی اگر وہ اُس مُلک میں جہاں سیر ہو کر پُہنچائے گئے ہوش میں آئیں اور رجوع لائیں اور اپنی اسیر ی کے مُلک میں تُجھ سے مُناجات کریں اور کہیں کہ ہم نے گناہ کیا ۔ہم ٹیڑھی چال چلے اور ہم نے شرارت کی۔

38 سو اگر وہ اپنی اسیری کے مُلک میں جہاں اُنکو اسیر کر کے لے گئے ہوں اپنے سارے دل اور اپنی ساری جان سے تیری طرف پھریں اور اپنے مُلک کی طرف جو تُو نے اُنکے باپ دادا کو دیا اور اُس شہر کی طرف جسے تُو نے چُنا ہے اور اِس گھر کی طرف جو میں نے تیرے نام کے لیئے بنایا ہے رُخ کر کے دُعا کریں۔

39 تو تُو آسمان پر سے جو تیری سکونت گاہ ہے اُنکی دُعا اور مُناجات سُن کر اُن کی حمایت کرنا اور اپنی قوم کو جس نے تیرا گناہ کیا ہ معاف کر دینا۔

40 پس اَے میرے خپدا میں تیری منت کرتا ہوں کہ اُس دُعا کی طرف جو اس مقام میں کی جائے تیری آنکھیں کُھلی اور تیری کان لگے رہیں ۔

41 سو اب اَے خُداوند خُدا تُو اپنی قوت کے صندوق کے سمیت اُٹھکر اپنی آرامگاہ میں داخل ہو ۔اَے خُداوند خُدا تیرے کاہن نجات سے مُلبس ہوں اور تیرے مُقدس نیکی میں مگن رہیں۔

42 اَے خُداوند خُدا تُو اپنے ممسُوح کی دُعا نہ منظور نہ کر ۔تُو اپنے بندہ داؤد کی رحمتیں یاد فرما۔

2 But I ^H589 ^W-PPRO-1MS have built ^H1129 a house ^H1004 ^CMS of habitation ^H2073 for thee , and a place ^H4349 for thy dwelling ^H3427 forever ^H5769 .

3 And the king ^H4428 ^D-NMS turned ^H5437 his face ^H6440 ^CMP-3MS , and blessed ^H1288 ^W-VNY3MS the whole ^H3605 ^NMS congregation ^H6951 of Israel ^H3478 : and all ^H3605 ^NMS the congregation ^H6951 of Israel ^H3478 stood ^H5975 .

7 Now it was ^H1961 ^W-VQY3MS in ^H5973 ^PREP the heart ^H3824 of David ^H1732 my father ^H1 ^CMS-1MS to build ^H1129 a house ^H1004 ^NMS for the name ^H8034 of the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS God ^H430 ^CDP of Israel ^H3478 ^LMS .

8 But the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS to ^H413 ^PREP David ^H1732 my father ^H1 ^CMS-1MS , Forasmuch ^H834 ^RPRO as it was ^H1961 ^VQQ3MS in ^H5973 ^PREP thine heart ^H3824 to build ^H1129 a house ^H1004 ^NMS for my name ^H8034 , thou didst well ^H2895 in that ^H3588 ^CONJ it was ^H1961 ^VQQ3MS in ^H5973 ^PREP thine heart ^H3824 :

9 Notwithstanding ^H7535 ^ADV thou ^H859 ^PPRO-2MS shalt not ^H3808 ^NADV build ^H1129 the house ^H1004 ; but ^H3588 ^CONJ thy son ^H1121 which shall come forth ^H3318 out of ^H4480 thy loins ^H2504 , he ^H1931 ^PPRO-3MS shall build ^H1129 the house ^H1004 ^D-NMS for my name ^H8034 .

10 The LORD ^H3068 ^EDS therefore hath performed ^H6965 his word ^H1697 that ^H834 ^RPRO he hath spoken ^H1696 : for I am risen up ^H6965 in the room ^H8478 ^NMS of David ^H1732 my father ^H1 ^CMS-1MS , and am set ^H3427 on ^H5921 ^PREP the throne ^H3678 of Israel ^H3478 , as ^H834 ^RPRO the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS promised ^H1696 ^VPQ3MS , and have built ^H1129 the house ^H1004 ^D-NMS for the name ^H8034 of the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS God ^H430 ^CDP of Israel ^H3478 ^LMS .

11 And in it ^H8033 ^ADV have I put ^H7760 the ark ^H727 , wherein ^H834 ^RPRO is the covenant ^H1285 ^NFS of the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS , that ^H834 ^RPRO he made ^H3772 with ^H5973 ^PREP the children ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 ^LMS .

12 And he stood ^H5975 before ^H6440 ^L-CMP the altar ^H4196 of the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS in the presence of ^H5048 all ^H3605 ^NMS the congregation ^H6951 of Israel ^H3478 , and spread forth ^H6566 his hands ^H3709 :

16 Now ^H6258 ^W-ADV therefore , O LORD ^H3068 ^EDS God ^H430 ^CDP of Israel ^H3478 , keep ^H8104 ^VQI2MS with thy servant ^H5650 David ^H1732 my father ^H1 ^CMS-1MS that which ^H834 ^RPRO thou hast promised ^H1696 him , saying ^H559 ^L-VQFC , There shall not ^H3808 ^NADV fail ^H3772 ^VNI3MS thee a man ^H376 ^NMS in my sight ^H6440 to sit ^H3427 ^VQPMS upon ^H5921 ^PREP the throne ^H3678 of Israel ^H3478 ; yet so ^H7535 ^ADV that thy children ^H1121 ^CMP-2MS take heed ^H8104 to their way ^H1870 ^CMS-3MP to walk ^H1980 ^L-VQFC in my law ^H8451 , as ^H834 ^RPRO thou hast walked ^H1980 before ^H6440 ^L-CMP-1MS me .

17 Now ^H6258 ^W-ADV then , O LORD ^H3068 ^EDS God ^H430 ^CDP of Israel ^H3478 , let thy word ^H1697 be verified ^H539 , which ^H834 ^RPRO thou hast spoken ^H1696 unto thy servant ^H5650 David ^H1732 .

18 But ^H3588 ^CONJ will God ^H430 ^EDP in very deed ^H552 dwell ^H3427 with ^H854 ^PREP men ^H120 ^D-NMS on ^H5921 ^PREP the earth ^H776 ^D-GFS ? behold ^H2009 ^IJEC , heaven ^H8064 ^NMP and the heaven ^H8064 of heavens ^H8064 ^D-NMD cannot ^H3808 ^NADV contain ^H3557 thee ; how much less ^H637 ^CONJ this ^H2088 ^D-PMS house ^H1004 ^D-NMS which ^H834 ^RPRO I have built ^H1129 !

19 Have respect ^H6437 therefore to ^H413 ^PREP the prayer ^H8605 of thy servant ^H5650 , and to ^H413 ^PREP his supplication ^H8467 , O LORD ^H3068 ^EDS my God ^H430 , to hearken ^H8085 unto ^H413 ^PREP the cry ^H7440 and the prayer ^H8605 which ^H834 ^RPRO thy servant ^H5650 prayeth ^H6419 before ^H6440 thee :

21 Hearken ^H8085 therefore unto ^H413 ^PREP the supplications ^H8469 of thy servant ^H5650 , and of thy people ^H5971 Israel ^H3478 , which ^H834 ^RPRO they shall make ^H6419 toward ^H413 ^PREP this ^H2088 ^D-PMS place ^H4725 ^D-NMS : hear ^H8085 thou ^H859 ^W-PPRO-2MS from thy dwelling ^H3427 place ^H4725 , even from ^H4480 ^PREP heaven ^H8064 ^D-NMD ; and when thou hearest ^H8085 , forgive ^H5545 .

22 If ^H518 ^PART a man ^H376 ^NMS sin ^H2398 against his neighbor ^H7453 ^L-CMS-3MS , and an oath ^H423 be laid ^H5375 upon him to make him swear ^H422 , and the oath ^H423 come ^H935 before ^H6440 ^L-CMP thine altar ^H4196 in this ^H2088 ^D-PMS house ^H1004 ;

23 Then hear ^H8085 thou ^H859 ^W-PPRO-2MS from ^H4480 ^PREP heaven ^H8064 ^D-NMD , and do ^H6213 , and judge ^H8199 thy servants ^H5650 , by requiting ^H7725 ^L-VHFC the wicked ^H7563 , by recompensing ^H5414 ^L-VQFC his way ^H1870 ^CMS-3MS upon his own head ^H7218 ; and by justifying ^H6663 the righteous ^H6662 ^AMS , by giving ^H5414 him according to his righteousness ^H6666 .

24 And if ^H518 thy people ^H5971 Israel ^H3478 be put to the worse ^H5062 before ^H6440 ^L-CMP the enemy ^H341 ^VQPMS , because ^H3588 ^CONJ they have sinned ^H2398 against thee ; and shall return ^H7725 and confess ^H3034 thy name ^H8034 ^CMS-2MS , and pray ^H6419 and make supplication ^H2603 before ^H6440 ^L-CMP thee in this ^H2088 ^D-PMS house ^H1004 ;

25 Then hear ^H8085 thou ^H859 ^W-PPRO-2MS from ^H4480 ^PREP the heavens ^H8064 ^D-NMD , and forgive ^H5545 the sin ^H2403 of thy people ^H5971 Israel ^H3478 , and bring them again ^H7725 unto ^H413 ^PREP the land ^H127 ^D-NFS which ^H834 ^RPRO thou gavest ^H5414 ^VQQ2MS-2FS to them and to their fathers ^H1 .
